microsilica can improve the permeability and salt corrosion resistance of concrete and protect the steel bar. in underwater engineering, chlorine ions infiltrate into concrete, causing rapid corrosion of steel bar, concrete delamination, short life and serious damage. the method of catheter is generally used for underwater concrete pouring. as the cement slurry is lost, it cannot bond well with the base and reduces the strength of the contact part with water. these problems can be obviously improved by adding microsilica into underwater concrete.
