microsilica (or silica fume) is amorphous, powdered sio2 collected by specially designed dust collectors after the oxidization of silicon steam through smoke flue during the smelting of silicon iron and industrial silicon. the average particle size of silica powder is 1% of the average particle size of cement at a value of 0.1-0.15 m. the specific surface area is 15-27 m2/g, with strong surface activity. according to the sio 2 content index, our products are divided into five specifications: 85%, 88%, 90%, 92% and 95%.
packaging, storage and transportation of microsilica
(1) product packaging specifications: 20kg/ bag, 900kg/ bag.
(2) the product should be stored in the monotonous environment, which is sheltered from rain and sun. product agglomeration activity loss in water. restrain long-term exposure in the sun, lest the packaging of weathering, product outside.
(3) this product is not a risk product. transportation can be handled according to the "non-risk product rules".
(4) our company can use different delivery methods or negotiate for disposal according to your purchase quantity of micro silicon powder and encrypted micro silicon powder. ensure microsilica arrives safely and on time at your designated place. (note: microsilica refers to silica fume)
suitable amount of microsilica:
when the content of microsilica increases significantly, the strength contribution rate of microsilica to concrete decreases (also known as efficiency index decreases). experiments show that the efficiency index decreases significantly when the micro silicon powder replaces cement more than 20%. when it is more than 30%, the strength of concrete decreases instead, and the risk of plastic cracking and early shrinkage crack of concrete increases. in addition, when the amount of microsilica is too high, the fresh concrete becomes very thick, and the difficulty of construction vibration increases. due to the limited output of microsilica, the amount of microsilica is increased, which will increase the cost of concrete. therefore, in practical engineering, the amount of microsilica in concrete is generally 5% to 15%.
